I love to see your videos. You tell it like it is. I work with 3 siblings who have autism. One self abuses. She headbands to much that there is a perminate scare on her head. Keep going on!

Where do you get his chew necklaces? I have AS and need somehing like that myself. I find myself chewing on things without really notcing. I’ve destroyed countless wacom pens and chewing gum isn’t the right consistancy. I need the sensation of something in my mouth. Your son is lucky to have a mother like you who truely cares about his well being and dosen’t throw him away in an instution or group home.
You’re certainly right about Phil Gluyas "Phils World" tormenting people on the internet and all the other things you said. He was banned from the Autism Speaks forum and was extensively well known for everything you have said about him. I couldn’t believe the amount of times he threatened to sue someone b/c they exposed him. He doesn’t have any children and doesn’t understand love and devotion from a parent, he’s an Aspie and is HFA. He was constantly offending/insulting parents on AS.
I have a 28 month old daughter dx’d with moderate autism, global delays, non-verbal and will be dx’d with dyspraxia when she turns 3. She started mild SIB about 9 months ago and so far we do the chewy tube and vibrating toothbrush to redirect her. I have watched some of your videos since I first suspected autism and you have shown so much courage and strength. I think you are the most awesome mom and you are so beyond calm, Jamey is such a handsome young man.

God gives these children to Christians He particularly trusts as worthy. And you have the comfort of knowing they are automatically saved. Unlike many kids growing up in Christian homes and going bad after.
I am a 28yr. old mother of a 7yr. old son and i couldn’t even begin to understand what u or your family are going through. I don’t know anything about autistic people, but i do know a lot about unconditional love and that’s what i see when i watch this video. You and your family REALLY are the meaning of family. Not to mention the fact that even though he has autistic qualitys he’s very handson. I hope u all know that your family is a strong family.

I used to work in a home that had all autistic people living there….and yes people do judge and its not fair to the families who are dealing with this on a daily basis….!

You are a great mother. Thank you for posting these videos. My own son is severely Autistic and thank God for my inlaws who support us 10000%. People judge us also, and on occasion have mentioned group homes etc… We love Jory and think of him as a blessing and NOT a burden. I wish these people would just mind their business. James is a beautiful young man, I can’t wait to see more.

This video is a great reprresentation of how quickly things can really change. I do enjoy his laugh though…it makes me smile so much. And I loved that Bella was like ‘No Jamey!’. She sure knows her uncle well considering how young she is. 🙂
I have faith that God will heal him in time. He works wonders, we just have to be patient and trust in Him.
