A teaching video…Barbie learns to use the potty for #2

We are currently in the process of teaching our daughter, who has autism, how to use the restroom for bowel movements. Unfortunately, she seems to be hesitant about the idea. As a result, we have decided to create a video featuring Barbies, which has proven successful for other lessons such as the importance of wearing clothes before going outside to play. Our friends find this amusing, and as a result of their encouragement, we have posted the video on YouTube.

My name is Adi, and I am the proud parent of Saar, a lively 17-year-old who happens to have autism. I have created a blog, 101Autism.com, with the aim to share our family's journey and offer guidance to those who may be going through similar experiences. Saar, much like any other teenager, has a passion for football, cycling, and music. He is also a budding pianist and enjoys painting. However, his world is somewhat distinct. Loud sounds can be overwhelming, sudden changes can be unsettling, and understanding emotions can be challenging. Nevertheless, Saar is constantly learning and growing, and his unwavering resilience is truly remarkable.

  • @killer505able my exact thought! I get the training video for their daughter, but washing hands should be there! especially if she's autistic

  • My 2 1/2 year old son wants to watch this video over and over, he actually recites it as it plays! Hopefully it helps give him the right idea ;) Thanks for posting it!

  • hahaha that was funny as hell XD ''I am a big girl i dont wear diapper , I poo in a potty ''XD

  • omg did she even wash her hands its a bad example for kids who are learning how are you guys saying its good for children

  • Really really common for autistic kids to not use the toilet...

  • I should explain further....my daughter is severly autistic. potty training is a real challenge for us. We really arent sicks or anything. One of the ways that she learns is by watching videos we make of her dolls doing things - I am also making one about barbie riding the bus to school as that will be a new exerience for her this fall. We posted this one because our friends thought it was funny - and some of our friends with kids with autism thought it was helpful....
