Adulthood symptoms:

Autistic adults can lead their own lives and even live and work on their own. Their independence depends on their intelligence and their communication skills. About 33% of autistic people are able to live partially independent.

Some of the autistic adults need a lot of help particularly those who cannot speak and have low intelligence. Residential treatment regimes are particularly designed for these adults so that they are under supervision and can develop some skills. However, the spectrum varies as some autistic people are living independently even though they face some difficulty while handling other people. However, they are very successful in their careers and have extra ordinary high intelligence (IQ) level.
